AMATEUR RADIO SERVICE
"Subpart A--General Provisions
§97.1 Basis and purpose.
The rules and regulations in this Part are designed to provide an
amateur radio service having a fundamental purpose as expressed in the
following principles:
(a) Recognition and enhancement of the value of
the amateur service to the public as a voluntary
noncommercial communication service, particularly
with respect to providing emergency communications."

ANNOUNCEMENTS

- The 145.37 Repeater is currently down for repairs. We will let you know when it is back on the air.
- Due to the .37 machine being down, until further notice the Nightly TATN will be moved to the 146.67 Repeater. A pl of 123.0 is needed
to open the machine. Thanks to the generosity of the OH-KY-IN Amatuer Radio Society.
- With the .37 Machine Still down, the Weekly Thursday Night ARPSC Training Net will be held on the GCARA Repeater on 145.27-. A pl of 123.0
is required for the machine. Thanks to the generosity of the Greater Cincinnati Amateur Radio Association.
- The Tristate Medical Reserve Corps is holding a hands on training day on April 14 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Registration is required. Go to http://www.tristatemrc.org for more information or to sign up.
- The links page has two new sections on it. Training Links that contains links related to any training that Terry, NF8B brings to the net and Weather Related, which is self explanitory.
